Director of Data Governance (TR/4005490) Amsterdam, Netherlands
For one of our clients active within the fashion industry, we are currently looking for a Director of Data Governance focusing on global data integrity and compliance.
As the Director of Data Governance, you will support the team in orchestrating the development and implementation of our client's global data governance strategy. This includes crafting a dynamic data framework that not only meets current regulatory and business needs but is also adaptable to future changes. Your strategic foresight will guide the implementation of this framework across supply chain operations, ensuring its effectiveness and consistent adoption. Leading a specialised team, you will deliver actionable intelligence and reporting, driving data-driven decision-making throughout the organisation in support of data integrity at all times.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive for a global data solution and end-to-end data management by collaborating with the global Data and Engineering team and respective business teams.
- Operationalize the KPI framework by building reports and dashboards to enable the tracking of defined Traceability and Sustainability (T&S) KPIs.
- Streamline customer reports by driving a consolidated approach on all data sharing towards customers and consumers and setting up the data governance board and change process.
- Oversee the implementation of new legal attributes based on the Data baseline assessment as required by legislation, customer requests, and sustainability requirements.
- Ensure a smooth process for providing key customers with required regulatory data on a monthly basis.
- Further analyze current existing and missing data flows in packaging, enabling control over data management and meeting reduction and sustainability targets.
- Build and lead a team of data governance and reporting experts, mentoring the team towards achieving strategic goals in data integrity, promoting a culture of innovation and high performance
Profile:
- At least 10 years of senior work experience within a global business environment, preferably in the fashion or retail industry
- Experience with Azure Data Bricks and Power BI
- Excellent communication skills
- Results-oriented with a strong focus on achieving objectives
- Deep enthusiasm for working with data
- Exceptional analytical abilities
- High level of precision and attention to detail
