QA Lead / Test Manager

For one of our clients active within the retail sector we are currently looking for a QA Lead / Test Manager focusing on quality management, release coordination and digital testing across web, mobile and API platforms.

As the QA Lead / Test Manager you will support the team in maintaining and improving the QA strategy, coordinating testing activities, managing releases and ensuring the quality of digital products across multiple teams and departments.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Leading QA activities across web, mobile and API applications.
• Owning QA release readiness and supporting Go/No-Go decisions.
• Coordinating testing efforts including regression, exploratory, automation, smoke and sanity testing.
• Managing defect triage, quality risks and stakeholder communication.
• Driving QA reporting, metrics, dashboards and release transparency.
• Coordinating the implementation and migration of a new Test Management Tool.
• Supporting penetration testing activities and remediation follow-up.
• Coaching QA engineers and acting as the main QA contact for Product, Development and other stakeholders.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, automation and CI/CD quality gates.

Profile:

• Background within QA Lead, Test Manager or similar leadership position.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within a digital, e-commerce, retail or comparable environment.
• Proven experience leading and coaching QA teams.
• Strong experience with web testing, mobile app testing and API testing.
• Experience with test management tools, defect management and test automation frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiar with release management, risk-based testing and quality reporting.
• Experience within the retail sector would be a plus.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Hands-on mindset and willing to combine leadership responsibilities with operational QA activities.

Duration: 6 months (with possible extension)
Hours per week: 40
Location: Netherlands (hybrid)
Hourly rate: Competitive, depending on experience
