The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives / Voice Order Pickers to join a busy distribution operation based in B78.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing warehouse work within a chilled food and drink environment, with competitive rates of pay, enhanced Sunday rates and excellent overtime earning potential.

The Role

As a Voice Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting food and drink products and preparing customer orders for dispatch.

Duties will include:

• Picking food and drink products using a voice-controlled picking system.
• Accurately selecting stock and building pallets ready for dispatch.
• Working towards productivity and accuracy targets.
• Using pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment.
• Ensuring customer orders are picked accurately and on time.
• Working efficiently within a chilled warehouse environment.
• Maintaining high health and safety standards.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised.

Pay Rates

Standard Hours

• £13.45 per hour – first 12 weeks.
• £13.95 per hour – after 12 weeks.

Sunday Hours

• £14.60 per hour – first 12 weeks.
• £15.10 per hour – after 12 weeks.

Overtime – After 42 Hours

• £16.81 per hour – first 12 weeks.
• £17.44 per hour – after 12 weeks.

Sunday Overtime

• £20.94 per hour

Working Hours

• 09:00–17:30
• Any 5 days from 7.
• No Saturday working.
• Sunday working available with enhanced pay rates.
• Overtime opportunities available.

Requirements

Previous warehouse or order-picking experience is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.

You will need:

• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work towards productivity and accuracy targets.
• Ability to work in a chilled warehouse environment.
• A reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness for a role involving regular warehouse activity.
