The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor on behalf of a well-established business in Tamworth
This role sits within the Operations Team and is heavily focused on customer aftercare and aftersales support. You will be a key point of contact for customers following the initial sale, helping to resolve queries, coordinate information and ensure customers receive a professional and responsive service throughout their journey.
This would suit someone who is organised, customer-focused, proactive and confident communicating with customers, with the ability to take ownership of queries and see them through to resolution.
The Role
As a Customer Service Advisor, you will support customers throughout the aftersales and aftercare process, working closely with the Operations Team and other departments within the business.
You will be responsible for handling customer queries, keeping customers updated, coordinating information and ensuring issues are followed through efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact for customers following the initial sale.
- Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email.
- Provide professional and timely responses to customer queries.
- Manage aftercare and aftersales enquiries from initial contact through to resolution.
- Take ownership of customer issues and ensure they are followed up appropriately.
- Liaise with internal teams to investigate and resolve customer queries.
- Coordinate information between customers, operations, technical and other relevant teams.
- Keep customers updated throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and information.
- Record and monitor customer issues, actions and outcomes.
- Identify recurring issues and communicate relevant information to the wider team.
- Help ensure customers receive a consistently high level of service.
- Support the Operations Team with general administration and other duties as required.
The Person
The successful candidate will be customer-focused, organised and naturally proactive, with a genuine desire to provide excellent aftersales service.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in customer service, aftersales, aftercare, administration or a similar role.
- Excellent telephone and email communication skills.
- Confidence dealing with customers and handling queries professionally.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with customer issues.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to following up outstanding actions.
- The ability to take ownership of customer enquiries and see them through to completion.
- Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- The ability to work effectively with different internal teams.
- A positive, energetic and team-focused attitude.
Previous experience within a technical or manufacturing environment would be beneficial but is not essential. The key qualities are excellent communication, organisation, customer focus and a willingness to learn.
Working Hours & Pay
- Monday to Thursday: 08:30–17:00
- Friday: 07:30–16:00
- £13.25 per hour
- Monday to Friday working pattern.
- Possible permanent opportunity after a successful trial period
