Reach Truck Driver – Days & Nights

Location: Tamworth
Pay: £12.71 days / £13.98 nights per hour + Reach uplift
Contract: Ongoing temporary work with potential for permanent employment
Shift Patterns: Fixed days or nights – no rotation

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting Reach Truck Drivers to join a well-established distribution company based in Tamworth.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced forklift drivers looking for regular, ongoing work with fixed shift patterns, meaning you will work either days or nights with no rotation.

Permanent positions may be available following a successful trial period.

Pay Rates

• Day Shift: £12.71 per hour
• Night Shift: £13.98 per hour
• Reach Truck Uplift: 40p per hour on days / 44p per hour on nights
• Overtime: Paid at time and one-third

Available Shift Patterns

All shifts are fixed days or fixed nights – no rotation.

3 On / 3 Off

• Days: 06:00 – 18:00
• Nights: 18:00 – 06:00

Monday – Thursday

• Monday: 18:00 – 00:00
• Tuesday – Thursday: 18:00 – 06:00

Sunday – Thursday

• Days: 10:00 – 18:00
• Nights: 18:00 – 02:00

Tuesday – Friday

• Tuesday: 06:00 – 12:00
• Wednesday – Friday: 06:00 – 18:00

Wednesday – Friday

• 06:00 – 18:00 each day

The Role

As a Reach Truck Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely and efficiently operating a Reach Truck.
• Moving and positioning palletised stock within the warehouse.
• Putting stock away into the correct locations.
• Palletisation and stock replenishment.
• Shrink wrapping goods ready for dispatch.
• Checking stock and maintaining accurate stock locations.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties as required.
• Operating other MHE where required following appropriate training, including V08, LLOP and PPT.

Reach Truck Licence Requirements

We can accept:

• A valid external Reach Truck licence.
• A valid in-house Reach Truck licence.
• Expired Reach Truck licences from within the last 3 years, subject to successfully completing an assessment or refresher course with one of our trainers.

Inductions are held every Friday at 08:00.

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Experienced in operating a Reach Truck.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Safety-conscious.
• Comfortable working fixed day or night shifts.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to undertake general warehouse duties.
• Willing to undertake additional MHE training where required.
