The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting Part-Time Van Drivers to work with a busy furniture removal and delivery company based in Tamworth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexible, ad hoc driving work and supplementary income, with the opportunity to work around other commitments.

Previous van driving, delivery or removals experience is advantageous, but full training and support will be provided to the right candidate.

The Role

As a Van Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting and delivering furniture to customers across various locations.
• Loading and unloading furniture safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring furniture and other goods are secured correctly during transportation.
• Taking care when handling customer goods to ensure they arrive in excellent condition.
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Completing vehicle checks before and during shifts.
• Following road safety requirements and company procedures.
• Working as part of a team during furniture removals and deliveries.

Working Hours

• Flexible, ad hoc shifts available.
• Typically  depending on the delivery route.
• Ideal for candidates looking for additional or supplementary income.
• Start times can vary between 06:00 and 10:00.
• Shifts typically range from 6–12 hours,

Requirements

• To be aged 25 or over due to vehicle insurance requirements.
• A full UK driving licence.
• The ability to undertake heavy lifting and manual handling.
• A reliable and punctual approach to work.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• A professional attitude when dealing with customers.
• Previous van driving, delivery or furniture removals experience is advantageous but not essential.
