Van Driver – Day Shifts

Location: Tamworth
Pay: From £13.70 per hour
Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 – No Sunday work
Start Times: 06:00 or 15:00
Contract Type: Ongoing Temporary Assignment

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for experienced Van Drivers to join our client delivering chilled products to customers.

Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for reliable drivers looking for regular work.

The Role

• Driving company refrigerated vans to customer locations
• Delivering chilled goods to customers
• Completing approximately 20–30 deliveries per shift.
• Working across various delivery routes
• Self-loading vans using a pump truck
• Ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork
• Maintaining high standards of customer service

Working Hours

• 5 days out of 7
• No Sunday work.
• Start times between 06:00 and 15:00.
• Flexible approach to weekday and weekend working required

Pay Rates

Monday to Friday:
£13.70 per hour, increasing to £14.20 after 12 weeks

Saturday:
£14.85 per hour, increasing to £15.35 after 12 weeks

Overtime after 42 hours:
£17.13 per hour, increasing to £17.75 after 12 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 6 month's commercial van driving experience.
• Full UK driving licence
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred
• Comfortable with self-loading using a pump truck
• Flexible to work across weekdays and weekends
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Good customer service skills
