The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our client based in Tamworth for ongoing ad hoc work.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Driver looking for flexible work with straightforward nationwide deliveries and minimal manual handling.

Job Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for completing nationwide deliveries, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing nationwide Class 1 deliveries
• Carrying out approximately 3–4 drops per shift
• No handballing involved – the only manual work required is opening and closing the trailer curtains
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks
• Accurately completing delivery paperwork
• Ensuring compliance with Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Providing a professional and reliable service to customers

Requirements

• Minimum 6 month's commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours legislation
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
