Class 1 (C+E) Driver 

Location: Tamworth
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday | 06:00 start
Contract: Ad Hoc

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Class 1 (C+E) Driver to support our client's busy operation on an ad hoc basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV driver looking for flexible weekday work with no regular weekend requirement.

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

• Trunking work
• Local and regional deliveries
• Yard shunting and vehicle movements when required
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Following all road transport, health and safety regulations and company procedures

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Minimum 2 year's Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience delivering building materials is desirable
• Experience with shunting and yard movements
• Good knowledge of Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
• Strong work ethic
