M365 Support Engineer (BBBH3739) Dublin, Republic of Ireland
Ergo a seeking a M365 Support Engineer (L2) for a contract role in Dublin. The successful candidate will act as escalation point for L1 Helpdesk and have previous experience supporting end-users on M365 stack and adjacent technologies including SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Active Directory / Entra ID.
Working with the leading Modern Work practice in Ireland you will supplement an existing Ergo team migrating a key client from Google Drive to M365.
What will you do?
- Execute and monitor end-to-end migration batches from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 (Drive to OneDrive/SharePoint, Docs to Word, Sheets to Excel)
- Troubleshoot and resolve migration failures, including file compatibility issues, permission conflicts, and data integrity errors
- Analyse migration logs and tool outputs to identify root causes and implement fixes or re-run strategies
- Support and maintain migration tools and ensure optimal performance
- Handle escalated incidents from Level 1 support, providing timely resolution or escalation to Level 3 where required
- Validate successful data migration, including file structure, metadata, version history, and user permissions
- Investigate and resolve post-migration issues such as missing files, sync errors, and access problems in OneDrive and SharePoint
- Assist with user account mapping and identity alignment between Google Workspace and Azure AD
- Provide second-line user support, guiding users through the transition to Microsoft 365 applications and new collaboration workflows
What do you need?
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role (IT Support, Systems Engineer, Helpdesk Analyst)
- Knowledge of M365, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, and Azure AD.
- Active Directory – user account, groups, and permissions
- Patch management and device compliance (SCCM, InTune).
- Experience deploying Windows Desktop and Laptop PC’s, Apple MacBooks, Printers, Mobile devices
