Level 2 Desktop Engineer

Level 2 Desktop Engineer (BBBH3201) Dublin, Republic of Ireland

 

Ergo are seeking a Level 2 Desktop Engineer for a 12 month contract opportunity in Dublin city centre. This is an onsite role with a public-sector client where you will support the current Desktop and Virtual environments for internal users with escalated support available from remote teams.

The successful candidate will have experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 users, hardware installation and software deployment.

 

What will you do?

  • Day to day operational support of the desktop / virtual environment
  • End point troubleshooting of hardware and software (i.e. Microsoft suite - O365)
  • Application troubleshooting and incident management across a range of standard and proprietary applications
  • Provide local IT infrastructure support across a range of technologies, including network, voice and server
  • Responsible for IT asset management
  • Support of voice and video technologies, including mobile
  • Interacting with other support groups (local and global) across multiple platforms
  • Act as a local project resource for global initiatives i.e. Win11 migration
  • Ability to independently run smaller, local projects

 

What do you need?

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role (IT Support, Helpdesk Engineer, Systems Administrator)
  • Office365 user support
  • Basic Windows Server administration: Active Directory & Exchange
  • Knowledge of virtualisation tools such as VMware or Citrix
  • Excellent communication skills
