The role

As a Production & Improvement Planner, you’re the link between engineering, production, and operations. You ensure production plans are realistic, efficient, and ready for flawless execution. Your focus lies equally on planning and process optimization, combining structured work preparation with Lean-based improvement initiatives that drive performance and quality.

Your responsibilities

  • Translate technical documentation into clear, production-ready work instructions

  • Validate and review mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize production and maintenance schedules

  • Apply Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement) to streamline workflows

  • Act as the key connection between production, project management, and operations

  • Collaborate closely with an international engineering and production team

Your profile

  • MBO or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechatronics

  • 3+ years of experience in machine building or high-tech production environments

  • Strong understanding of Lean principles, work preparation, and planning tools

  • Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings

  • Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage

  • Hands-on, analytical, structured, and eager to improve processes
