Do you enjoy designing, building, and improving technical equipment for the marine and offshore environment?

 

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer with a background in Naval, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering who enjoys working on complex, real-world systems for onshore and offshore applications. You will design, prototype, and maintain mechanical components and assemblies used in demanding measurement and instrumentation equipment.

 

Most of your work takes place in-house in a modern office and workshop. Occasionally, you will visit clients across the Netherlands to install or service systems you helped design.

 

The role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved throughout the full lifecycle of our systems: from concept and design to prototyping, testing, improvement, and maintenance.

You will work closely with a small, multidisciplinary engineering team and have real influence on technical decisions, product improvements, and future developments.

 

What you will do

Engineering & Development

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for marine and offshore instrumentation
  • Create detailed 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks
  • Prepare technical drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions
  • Prototype, test, and optimize mechanical parts and systems
  • Collaborate with electronics and software engineers to integrate multidisciplinary systems
  • Perform maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
  • Continuously improve and optimize existing designs

Installation & support

  • Occasionally visit client sites within the Netherlands
  • Install, configure, and commission mechanical systems you helped design
  • Provide technical support during and after installation

  • Able to work independently and collaborate within a small team
  • Comfortable explaining technical solutions clearly

 

Requirements

  • Completed HBO or WO education in Mechanical, Marine, or Naval Engineering
  • Experience in 3D design and SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Affinity with marine/offshore instrumentation equipment
  • Good command of English (Dutch is a plus)
  • Driving license B
