The Best Connection is currently recruiting two experienced MIG Welders on behalf of our established manufacturing client based in the heart of West Bromwich.

Pay Rate
£16.17 per hour (including shift allowance)
Rate of pay is dependent on experience.
Shift Patterns
Morning Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 06:00 – 14:00
- Friday: 06:00 – 13:00
Afternoon Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 14:00 – 22:00
- Friday: 14:00 – 20:00
The Role
As a MIG Welder, you will play a key role in the manufacture of high-quality products, ensuring all work is completed to specification while maintaining production targets, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
Working within a busy and professional manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for producing quality welds and contributing to the overall success of the production team.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG weld a variety of manufactured products
- Set up welding equipment and associated machinery
- Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings
- Manufacture components to required production rates
- Report any quality or production issues promptly
- Take ownership of finished product quality
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Adhere to 5S housekeeping standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous production MIG welding experience
- Experience welding mild steel and pre-galvanised steel
- The ability to read and work from 2D engineering drawings
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- The motivation to achieve production targets safely and efficiently
- A willingness to uphold the company's ATIRE and SQDC values
