The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver on behalf of a well-established and growing packaging supply company based in Rowley Regis.

Salary & Hours

Pay Rate

£13.00 per hour

Potential pay increase available upon securing a permanent contract.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00

Enjoy a stable working pattern with weekends free.

The Role

Working within a busy warehouse and yard environment, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of stock, ensuring operational targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading, unloading and transporting stock across the site
• Moving timber and other materials within the warehouse and yard
• Allocating stock to designated storage locations
• Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects
• Assisting with stock control and warehouse organisation
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Adhering to all company Health & Safety procedures

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or equivalent)
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, distribution or yard environment
• Confidence handling large, heavy or bulky materials
• Strong awareness of workplace Health & Safety standards
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• A reliable and punctual approach to work
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• The ability to work independently and use initiative when required
