The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Wickman Automatic Lathe/AS14 Tornus Machine Operator on behalf of our established engineering client based in Wednesbury.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected precision engineering company that manufactures high-quality components supplied to the automotive, aerospace, and medical sectors.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00am - 3:00pm
• Early finish every day with no weekend work

Pay Rate

• From £15.00 per hour
• Higher rate available depending on skills and experience

The Role

You will be responsible for setting and operating specialist machinery, including:

• Wickman Automatic Lathes
• AS14 Tornus Machines

You will be producing precision-engineered components to customer specifications while maintaining high quality standards and production efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have proven experience setting and operating Wickman Automatic Lathe machines
• Have experience working on AS14 Tornus machines
• Be able to work to engineering drawings and specifications
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
• Have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Be reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping
