Mechanical (HVAC) Associate – Sydney – To $190K + 32 Days Paid, Annual Leave

Established over 50 years ago in Sydney, this privately owned engineering consultancy has always considered their people to be their greatest asset.

That's why they offer up to 32 days paid annual leave, up to $190K + super, and hybrid working that lets you work from home two days a week.

Due to growth, they're looking for a Mechanical Associate or Associate Director, who wants to take real ownership of their projects and lead a talented team of HVAC design engineers.

You'll work on complex, meaningful projects that matter to the community including hospitals, schools, mixed-use developments and major infrastructure. The kind of work projects you'll be proud to put your name to, the types of projects you can point to. 

You'll be the lead mechanical building services design engineer, handling HVAC systems from concept through to delivery liaising directly with clients, architects and developers. You'll use your own initiative to drive projects forward and be trusted to design, document, manage and deliver, while keeping an eye on profitability. You'll also guide and mentor a capable team, QA their work before it goes out, and identify their training needs along the way.

Their office is modern, spacious and light-filled, and sits less than 10 minutes' walk from a major train station.

And if you drive, there's plenty of free onsite parking too.

To be considered, it's essential that you:

• Have 7+ years' experience in the building services industry
• Are currently working in a building services or multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy
• Can manage key projects and have a solid appreciation for MEP services, not just HVAC
• Can produce tenders and fee proposals, and are comfortable leading a team
• Are up to date with Australian Standards and the NCC, and familiar with Greenstar and NABERS
• Are comfortable in a client-facing role
