plastic manufacturing company in Pemulwuy seeking reliable, experienced Machine Operators and candidates with Leading Hand experience to join our production team.
This is a hands-on factory role focused on operating and monitoring high-speed plastic manufacturing equipment in a busy, modern production environment. The site operates across three separate shifts:
- Day: 7am – 3pm
- Afternoon: 3pm – 11pm
- Night: 11pm – 7am
You will be assigned to one consistent shift based on business needs and your availability. The right people who show reliability, strong performance, and a great attitude will be offered ongoing employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor plastic blow moulding machines and related production equipment
- Perform quality checks, make machine adjustments, and carry out basic troubleshooting
- Operate automated packaging machines and ensure efficient end-of-line processes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- For Leading Hand candidates: Lead and support a small team of operators, coordinate shift tasks, train new staff, and help achieve production and safety targets
- Work safely and collaboratively to meet daily output and quality goals
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment
- Plastic blow moulding experience is highly ideal (e.g., extrusion blow moulding, injection stretch blow moulding)
- Experience with automated packaging machines (e.g., case packers, palletisers, shrink wrappers) is a strong advantage
- Leading Hand / supervisory experience is highly regarded for those applying at that level
- Mechanical aptitude, good problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent shift work
- Physically capable of manual handling and standing for long periods
- Strong safety focus and ability to follow procedures
- Australian work rights and willingness to complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening (if required)
- Forklift licence or other relevant tickets advantageous but not essential
