One of the UK’s leading manufacturing businesses is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their team based in Malton, North Yorkshire.

The successful Assistant Accountant will support all aspects of management and group reporting, acting as a key member of the shared service, group finance team.

The role requires a strong communicator who will liaise across multiple sites.

Reporting into the Group Reporting Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant’s key responsibilities include:

• Production of balance sheet reconciliations
• Reporting and reconciliation of customer rebates and over-riders
• Sales and purchase ledger reconciliation versus balance sheet
• Identifying and developing improvements to processes and controls
• Weekly and monthly reporting
• Assisting year-end activities
• Supporting audit work as required

We are keen to speak with individuals who have started their ACCA or CIMA training or with confident AAT qualified individuals who have experience in the above responsibilities. The successful Assistant Accountant will have experience working to deadlines and will have strong MS Excel skills.

Experience with software such as SAP or Anaplan will also be advantageous.

Based near Malton, his role is commutable from York, Scarborough, Driffield and surrounding areas.
