A well-known independent retail business is recruiting for a Junior Developer and IT Support Assistant to join their head office team, based in Scarborough.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Developer or a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience, re-developing and modernising existing software programmes and hardware systems. The successful individual will also play a key role in enhancing and improving business critical processes and applications.
Reporting into the IT Manager, the Junior Developer will receive full training and development opportunities to help grow their skillset.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining and developing systems for several store locations and its central warehouse operation
- Development and implementation of new software applications and processes either individually or with other members of the IT team
- Maintain existing applications, making improvements where necessary
- Working closely with all other departments within the company
- Be reactive to changing priorities and demands within the business
We are keen to speak with Junior Developers who have a good understanding of IT in general and basic knowledge of the following:
- C#.NET, VB.NET & VB6
- MS SQL Server (TSQL), SQL Language, creating database tables and writing stored procedures
- SQL Server Management Studio
A good understanding on Android Programming would also be desirable.
