Salary: GBP18000 - GBP20000 per annum

A manufacturing business is currently looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join their team based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

The Purchase Ledger Administrator will be responsible for processing a large number of purchase ledger invoices and dealing with suppliers via telephone and email.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing high volume invoices
  • Raising BACS payments
  • Raising cheques and posting through the purchase ledger
  • Completing CIS subcontractors return
  • Scanning and filing invoices
  • Liaising internally and externally regarding invoices
  • Processing online bank payments in foreign and sterling currencies
  • Supplier statement reconciliation

We are keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience working in a high-volume purchase invoicing role and who have excellent attention to detail and can communicate well with suppliers.

The successful Purchase Ledger will be taught a bespoke system, but previous experience of Sage or a similar accounting package will be advantageous.
