Salary: GBP18000 - GBP20000 per annum

A leading environmental risk business is currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their ambitious team based in their head office Harrogate.

Reporting into the Purchase Ledger Supervisor, the successful individual will help to manage and maintain the company purchase ledger in accordance with company procedures.

Key responsibilities for the successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will include:

  • Opening new supplier accounts accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match batch and process a high volume of supplier invoices
  • Chase for authorisation of invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Weekly payment run authorised by Financial Controller
  • Dealing with supplier and colleague queries
  • Filing and general housekeeping
  • Ad hoc duties as required

We are looking to speak with individuals who have previous purchase ledger experience, preferably high volume. The successful applicant with use bespoke systems but any experience with accountancy software such as Sage, Xero or Dimensions would be beneficial.
