Administrative Officer – Public Sector Opportunity in Northampton
Location: CNBC, 21-27 St Katherines Street, Northampton, NN1 2LH
Hourly Rate: £13.25 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 5:00pm (37 hours/week)
Contract Duration: Immediate start, initially 9 months with potential extension based on performance and client needs
Our client, a reputable government organisation, is seeking a proactive and adaptable Administrative Officer to join their team. This is a fantastic chance to gain valuable experience within the public sector, supporting vital services and working in a dynamic environment.
What you'll be doing:
• Handling calls from the public, providing assistance with claims and queries
• Maintaining regular contact with court staff across processing sites nationwide
• Resolving customer queries through various contact channels, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Scheduling appointments and communicating with customers via phone and email
• Preparing routine correspondence and updating in-house systems
• Acting as an administrative liaison with internal and external contacts
• Following set procedures, exercising independent judgment under supervision

Additional details:
• Full training provided over two weeks, with no holidays during induction
• Basic DBS clearance required (training provided)
• Candidates who have spent over 6 months outside the UK in the last 3 years may need to provide an overseas police check
