Role : Production Operator
Working hours : Monday to Friday , 06:00-14:00 - fixed shift
Pay rates : £11.44 per hour + attendance bonus
Overtime Pay Rates : from £15.22 to £22.88 per hour

Duties:
-Perform and supervise the pre-shift safety checks in line with your responsibilities and report any issues found to your line manager.
-To ensure that all operators in the team have the correct resources to be able to work in an effective and efficient manner to be able to meet shift targets.
-To be responsible for knowing the correct procedures for the operation of the machines and be able to guide a team in their use.
-To ensure that the team has access to the required PPE and request any missing PPE and report any non-compliance.
-Responsible for the effective reporting of figures to the line management including, but not limited to: Quality standards, Defects, Stoppages, Incidents and any defects
-Ensure planned training for operators with machines lead hands and follow the schedule set by Shift and QC Supervisors.
-Audit production plans/machine set up follow up procedure, assisting set up when needed and compile report for reason KPI targets not met.
-Approving production orders shape sample lengths, working with operators to ensure all shear tests are correct values and data recorded.
-Ensuring that accidents and Near Misses are documented in a timely manner and the relevant actions are carried out and risks are eliminated or reduced.
-Work with supervisors to positively define processes/procedure/controls relevant to the team and implement continuous improvements.
