The position will be leading the DevOps implementation on a flagship, Greenfield project as a lead consultant for a very well respected mid-sized consultancy. The main project you will be working on is for one of the leading sports brands, as they rearchitect their platform from scratch.
The consultancy are different from your typical 'body-shop' consultancy. As they have been known to work ethically, they are assigned to some of the most mission-critical, unique projects for their digital clients ranging from mid-size companies to enterprise scale. They work with the best brands on their most interesting projects. They are famed for their work in the world of Javascript but now have a DevOps offering which works mostly on Greenfield projects.
They have a real focus on supporting their consultants with career progression, training, having a sense of team work and feeling part of the wider community. They fly all of their team over to their US based HQ once a year for a fully expensed, week long get together for all the UK and US based consultants to meet.
The Role
Senior/Lead DevOps consultant - £80,000 - £100,000 salary
AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, Consulting
The main project is working with a leading sports brand as they rebuild their platform from scratch. You will be the main point of contact for all things DevOps on this Greenfield project and will liaise with the client, discuss/decide on the best DevOps solutions and take a lead on implementing them. This will include building out infrastructure as code in Terraform, implementing CI/CD best practices and making suggestions about their architecture in AWS.
The role will mostly be home based for the foreseeable future. They will consider candidates based anywhere in the UK. They do offer an additional financial compensation for London-based/London-commutable candidates who would be able to attend the office a couple of days a week. There will be minimal travel required for the role.
