C2 Application Interface Engineer

C2 Application Interface Engineer (16648) Canberra, Australia

Salary: Level 3

Start: circa 01 November 2025
Duration: 24 months – with 2 x 12 month extension options
Location: Canberra, ACT

Basic Requirements:

  • AGSVA Security clearance.
  • Extensive hands-on technical experience in software engineering / development.
  • Working knowledge of open-source and proprietary message formats and application protocols employed in mapping, imagery, position & location information, and messaging.
  • Working knowledge of networking, and virtualisation.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux and/or Android).
  • Working knowledge with integrating applications and middleware in closed environments.
  • Experience supporting Defence or government projects.
  • Experience in preparing technical and security documentation.
  • Relevant tertiary and/or vocational education in software development / engineering or similar IT fields.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in configuring and/or employing the below applications: ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Server / SitaWare (HQ/FL) / TAK / AFATDS / AMDWS / FAAD-C2 / SNC TRAX / (m)JECL
  • Proficiency in coding languages (C / C++ / Java / Bash / Scratch)
  • Working knowledge and/or experience in Geospatial and DTED rendering
  • Industry certifications in software development
