This Accountant (m/f/x) role in Rijsenhout/Sassenheim offers a unique opportunity to contribute to financial operations for Dutch and Belgian entities while collaborating with international teams. You’ll support financial reporting, tax compliance, and budgeting, making a significant impact within a motivated and connected team.

Role Mission:

Take charge of processing essential accounting activities such as monthly closings, VAT reporting, and statutory audits. In this Accountant (m/f/x) role, you will attend to tax matters and assist in decision-making by providing analytical insights. By closely working with the finance director and other team members, you’ll help optimize finance operations at the Rijsenhout/Sassenheim office.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly closing processes, including gross margin analysis, accrual estimations, and ensuring compliance with both local accounting standards and US GAAP.
• Handle VAT declarations for the Netherlands and Belgium, in addition to broader compliance with tax regulations in consultation with external advisors.
• Manage invoice collections, late accounts receivable, and payroll outsourcing processes.
• Collaborate with management on budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, proposing actionable insights.
• Monitor and manage supplier contracts and local cash balances.
• Participate in setting departmental goals aligned with company objectives.
• Support other accounting and financial projects tied to the Benelux office.

• Experience working with accounting systems, preferably SAP, alongside advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
