We are looking for a dynamic, fast-learning Logistics Officer (M/F/X) to join our client’s logistics team in Brussels.



This is an exciting opportunity for an individual eager to progress their career in a global logistics function and take ownership of key logistics modalities after a comprehensive internal training period.

Our client is a leading and growing company in the chemical sector, with around 50 colleagues based in the Brussels office. You will be part of a supportive logistics team of 6 professionals within a fast-paced, international environment focused on innovation and continuous growth.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage scheduling and planning of deliveries, including coordination with supplying terminals
  • Oversee road and rail logistics; develop a detailed understanding of the terms, conditions, and documentation for each trade
  • Coordinate maritime logistics deliveries while ensuring compliance with applicable trade requirements
  • Prepare and validate delivery documentation, liaising with third-party superintendents and loading terminals
  • Support invoicing and payment processes, ensuring thorough understanding of VAT requirements
  • Assist with customs and excise compliance, especially relating to alcohol movements in accordance with legal regulations
  • Collect, manage, and submit all sustainability data for deliveries, ensuring accurate entry into the relevant national databases
  • Achieve fluency in all relevant operating systems used within the group
  • Eventually manage the scheduling and administration for either barges, vessels, trucks, or trains, taking end-to-end responsibility for each assigned delivery process

 



Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Commerce/Business, Logistics or related field
  • Fluency in both English and French
  • Ideally 1–2 years’ professional experience in logistics or related fields
  • Strong team spirit and collaborative approach
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Confidence in engaging with colleagues, external partners, suppliers and customers
