Grinding Operative

Our client, a leading manufacturer of metal components and springs are currently recruiting for Someone with spring end grinding experience to join there team in Redditch.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established company with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and employee development. This position will lead to a permanent contract within the company, after a successful trial period.

Pay:

Starting from £12.71 depending on experience.

Hours:

Monday – Friday

8:00 – 16:30

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Handling and preparing raw materials
• Using hand cutters and hand presses
• Grinding spring ends
• Building garter springs by hand
• Operating and learning to set CNC spring coiling machines
• Following production and quality requirements
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Practical and hands on
• Reliable and hardworking
• Comfortable using hand tools and machinery
• Able to work accurately and consistently
• Physically capable of carrying out a demanding manufacturing role
• Willing to learn and develop new skills
• Able to work as part of a team

The role is physically demanding and involves standing and carrying out repetitive hands on tasks. We encourage interested candidates to visit the workplace and see the environment and role for themselves.
