Enterprise Security Architect
Utilities Client – Etterbeek
For a client within the utilities sector, we are looking for an Enterprise Security Architect to strengthen and govern the overall security architecture in a complex IT and OT environment. Cybersecurity is a strategic priority, and this role focuses on translating high-level security goals into practical, secure-by-design architectures while balancing usability and compliance.
Your Role
As Enterprise Security Architect, you define and evolve the organisation’s security architecture across applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, and identity. You work closely with security, enterprise, and domain architects to align business, regulatory, and technological needs into coherent, future-proof security solutions and roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide security architecture, principles, and reference architectures
- Embed secure-by-design and Zero Trust principles into new and existing solutions
- Align security architecture with cloud and data strategies
- Contribute to long-term security capability and technology roadmaps
- Guide audits and compliance initiatives (NIS2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Review and improve existing architectures to enhance IT resilience
- Evaluate and support PoCs for enterprise security platforms (IAM, PAM, SIEM/SOAR, CSPM, EDR, WAF, DLP, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with enterprise and technical architects
Your Profile
- Master’s degree (engineering, science, or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in security architecture
- Strong knowledge of:
- Cloud security (Azure)
- IAM/PAM
- Network, infrastructure, and application security
- Data protection and security monitoring (SIEM/SOAR)
- Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (NIS2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, CCSP, Azure) are a strong plus
- Experience in IT/OT or utilities environments is an asset
- Fluent in English, with French and/or Dutch as a strong advantage
