Regional QHSE Compliance Manager

Regional QHSE Compliance Manager (REQ001098) Manchester, England

Salary: GBP37000 - GBP60000 per annum

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a permanent QHSE Compliance Manager in Manchester for their client who is the largest independent commercial approved dealership in the UK. The QHSE Compliance Manager will implement and monitor Health and safety, environment and compliance standards throughout the Greater Manchester region. 

This role will require travel to all the Greater Manchester region dealerships which are located at Manchester and Oldham

Hours of work - 40

Salary - Competitive salary + Company vehicle

Shifts: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 17.30pm

Main duties will be:

  • Promote, advise and guide the dealership teams on all aspects of the company and manufacturer compliance requirements.
  • Continually monitor our compliance to an auditable pass standard throughout the course of the year highlighting any breaches to the regional director and departmental manager
  • Implement any corrective action identified, supported by the regional director
  • Undertake accident investigations as required and monitor data to highlight causes, identify remedial actions and reduce risks
  • Undertake ISO9001 & ISO14001 audits at each location annually and recommend corrective actions for local implementation
  • Facilitate all building maintenance, renovations and building projects, including liaising with contractors, and ensuring works are carried out in a cost effective and safe manner
  • Negotiate and renew maintenance contracts for serviceable items throughout the region
  • Ensure our regional waste is handled and disposed of in a safe and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure any HSE and compliance elements only of new employee’s inductions are completed
  • Monthly reporting of our regional sustainability statistics, as well as liaising with depot energy champions to ensure good practices are adhered to

Person Specification:

  • Desire to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • NEBOSH General certificate or other formal safety qualification
  • IT Literacy
  • Brilliant levels of communication written or verbal
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Full Clean driving license
  • Knowledge of current legislation and ISO standards
  • Understanding of compliance, Health, and Safety
