Underwriting Support Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for self-motivated Underwriting Assistant to join a successful, friendly and lively team for a recognised leading global insurance company. This is a perfect opportunity to develop a career within insurance.
Duties of Underwriting Support Assistant:
• Providing and maintaining a good standard of technical underwriting support
• Accurate and timely input of data into relevant underwriting systems.
• Liaising with brokers as required
• Helping to develop and maintain strong working relationships within the team and wider business
• Requesting and reviewing survey reports and issuing risk requirements to brokers
• Managing diary items and chasing responses
• Following up outstanding renewal information with brokers via phone and email.
• Deal with internal and external enquiries by email and telephone
• Assisting the team and wider business with ad hoc projects
Essential:
• Organise, prioritise & undertake work in an efficient & logical manner
• Must have strong administration background and ability to organise workload
• Must have good IT literacy, familiar with Outlook, Word and Excel
• Sound problem solving abilities with a good and appropriate use of initiative
• Maintain an enthusiastic & high energy approach to work
• Have an interested in a career within Insurance
