The Opportunity
Gi Group is currently recruiting for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join a premier, award winning practice in Galway. This firm is recognized for delivering high impact, large-scale projects across the commercial, industrial, and multi-unit residential sectors.
This is a high level role for a technical expert who thrives on project delivery, team leadership, and seeing complex designs transition from Revit models to finished builds.

Core Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Take the lead on complex new-build and refurbishment projects, managing large design teams from inception to handover.
  • Technical Delivery: Produce comprehensive architectural packages, detailed construction drawings, and tender documentation.
  • BIM Management: High-level utilization of Revit and BIM to develop technical solutions and coordinate with external consultants.
  • Compliance & Statutory Filings: Prepare and submit Planning, Fire Safety, and Disability Access applications, ensuring all works meet current Irish/UK building regulations.
  • Contractor Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for contractors and stakeholders during the construction phase to ensure design intent is maintained.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience within an Irish or UK architectural setting.
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology or Architecture.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Revit is essential. Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, and InDesign is highly desirable.
  • Sector Portfolio: A proven track record in commercial offices, industrial developments, or large-scale residential schemes.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and project management abilities.
