About the Role
Gi Group Ireland is currently recruiting for an experienced Draftsperson / CAD Technician to join a leading, well-established supplier of high-quality construction products. Operating across Ireland and the UK, our client has a premier reputation built on a diverse product range, including ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks, precast walls and floors, and calcium carbonate.

Key Responsibilities
- Design & Delivery: Prepare and present detailed drawings and design deliverables based on specifications from the Engineering and Design teams.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and according to agreed schedules.
- Independent Judgment: Apply technical knowledge and professional judgment to support the drawing office team while working independently.
- Data & Workflow Management: Utilize CAD and Allplan software tools to organize, manage, and monitor project documentation and internal workflows.
- Team Support: Provide guidance and technical support to junior or peer members of the drawing office team.
Key Requirements
- Industry Experience: Ideally 2–3 years of relevant experience within the precast, concrete, or steel sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong background in preparing detailed design drawings (including structural drawings) using AutoCAD software. 1 year of AutoCAD experience is preferred.
- Software Competency: Sound knowledge of CAD detailing and scheduling practices. Experience with Allplan software (1 year preferred) is considered a distinct advantage, though a capacity to quickly adapt to new systems is highly valued.
- Communication & Collaboration: Fluent English with exceptional communication skills. Proven experience coordinating effectively with technical specialists and engineering professionals.
- Execution: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet demanding deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, a fast learner, and equally comfortable working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Eligibility: A valid Irish work permit is required. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Rathmolyon, County Meath, prior to starting.
