Gi Group are currently working with an established construction and property business in Mullingar who are looking to add a Registered Architect to their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Architect who wants to be involved in more than just producing drawings. The role will have a strong focus on residential development, with the successful candidate having the opportunity to take ownership of their own design work and see projects progress through to construction.
The company is building out its architectural team and is looking for someone who can bring strong design capability, technical knowledge and a practical understanding of how projects are delivered on site.
The Role
You will work closely with the wider design and construction teams across a range of residential projects, contributing from the early design stages through to delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing architectural designs for residential developments and housing schemes.
- Taking ownership of your own projects and design work.
- Preparing and developing drawings, models and technical documentation.
- Working with Revit and CAD to produce high-quality design information.
- Liaising with internal teams, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Working closely with the construction team to ensure designs are practical and deliverable.
- Supporting projects through planning, technical design and construction stages.
- Reviewing designs and technical information to ensure quality and compliance.
- Helping to develop and improve design processes within the business.
- Contributing to the continued growth of the architectural team.
What We're Looking For
- Registered Architect with the RIAI.
- Experience working on residential projects, ideally housing developments or residential estates.
- Strong working knowledge of Revit and CAD.
- Good technical understanding of architectural design and construction.
- Ability to take ownership of design work and work independently.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- A practical, commercially aware approach to design.
- Someone who is comfortable working closely with construction teams and seeing their designs through to delivery.
