Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

About the Role:
GI Group is recruiting a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a dynamic Mobile Engineering Team at a leading water and wastewater treatment facility in Dublin. This role offers a varied and exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to essential environmental services.
What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical plant and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures and process issues.
• Maintain workspaces and ensure compliance with site procedures and safety standards.
• Supervise external contractors for maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Use MAXIMO (or equivalent CMMS) to log and manage maintenance activities.
• Participate in equipment improvement projects and contribute to operational efficiency.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime.

What We’re Looking For:

• Recognised Maintenance Fitter Craft Certificate or equivalent.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with the drive to support continuous improvement.
• Experience with wastewater treatment processes is desirable.
