​Gi Group Ireland is currently recruiting a skilled and driven Construction Site Manager on behalf of our client. This is a site-based position located in Dublin, tasked with overseeing a major commercial project from daily operations through to completion.

Core Responsibilities

  • ​Responsible for the secure opening and closing of the construction site each day.
  • ​Direct and supervise all day-to-day activities taking place on-site.
  • ​Seamlessly manage and align the schedules of all onsite sub-contractors and material suppliers.
  • ​Drive project delivery to ensure all construction works align precisely with the engineering designs, project specifications, and deadlines.
  • ​Keep a close eye on milestones and deliver routine progress updates to senior leadership.


Safety, Health & Environment

  • ​Partner with external Health & Safety consultants to execute and uphold robust safety protocols.
  • ​Conduct routine site audits to guarantee absolute alignment with regulatory safety guidelines and site specific RAMS.
  • ​Intervene immediately to mitigate and resolve any hazards or safety issues.
  • ​Verify that all site personnel hold the appropriate certifications and safety training.


Quality Standards & Resource Efficiency

  • ​Safeguard the final build quality, ensuring it strictly meets or exceeds target standards.
  • ​Actively identify deficiencies in workmanship and execute prompt corrective measures.
  • ​Optimise the deployment of site machinery, materials, and manpower.
  • ​Champion productivity while aggressively minimizing material waste.
  • ​Maintain meticulous records relating to the deployment and costs of all site resources.
  • ​Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation
  • ​Act as the primary onsite point of contact for clients, consulting engineers, and third-party stakeholders.
  • ​Organize and spearhead recurring site progress meetings.
  • ​Provide transparent, prompt updates regarding project milestones or emerging challenges.
  • ​Author and organise vital project records, including comprehensive daily logs, safety registries, and progress trackers.
  • ​Draft and dispatch structured performance reports to the executive team, ensuring all data is securely filed.


Financial Accountability

  • ​Keep a tight rein on project spending to ensure the site operates within its financial boundaries.
  • ​Proactively pinpoint and implement strategic cost-saving measures.
  • ​Assist management with the development of future project budgets and financial forecasting.

Candidate Profile
Required Experience & Qualifications

  • ​A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a construction management capacity, with a distinct preference given to those with a commercial sector background.
  • ​Relevant professional certifications in both construction management and occupational health and safety.
  • Legal authorisation to work in Ireland is strictly required. Candidates must already be residing in Ireland to fulfill the operational demands of this position.
