Upholsterer

Location: Darwen
Pay Rate: £15.92 per hour
Job Type: Temporary (with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate)
Hours: 39 hours per week

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:45am – 4:45pm
• Friday: 7:45am – 1:00pm

Breaks:

• 30-minute lunch break
• 10-minute morning break

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Upholsterer to join a busy and well-established manufacturing team based in Darwen. This is a temporary position with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will be responsible for upholstering a range of furniture to a high standard while working efficiently to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Upholster furniture using a variety of materials and techniques.
• Read and follow production specifications and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, staple guns, sewing equipment and other upholstery tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure finished products meet quality standards.
• Work as part of a team to achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous upholstery experience (essential).
• Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good manual dexterity and practical skills.
• A positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
• An understanding of workplace health and safety.
