Class 1 Day Trunk Driver – Long-Standing, Reputable Business

Are you an experienced Class 1 (C+E) driver looking for stable, ongoing work with a respected and well-established company?

We're seeking a reliable driver to join our day operation, carrying out straightforward trunking runs with no handball involved.

Location:
Blackburn/Darwen

Shift Times:
Day shifts between 06:00 – 18:00

Pay Rates

• £15.49 per hour – Standard rate
• £20.14 per hour – Overtime after 40 hours worked
• £20.45 per hour – Unsociable hours (20:00 – 22:00)
• £24.78 per hour – Weekend and Bank Holiday rate

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out full vehicle and trailer checks before and after each shift
  • Lights, tyres, brakes, coupling/uncoupling, load securing, defect reporting
• Complete straightforward trunk runs to RDCs and depots
• Accurate completion of all paperwork and digital records
• Safe and compliant driving in line with EU Drivers' Hours, WTD, and company policies
• Maintain a professional attitude while representing a long-standing, respected business

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years Class 1 (C+E) experience
• Valid C+E licence, Digi Tacho, and CPC
• Strong understanding of driver safety and compliance
• Ability to work reliable day shifts
• No handball involved, just clean, efficient trunking work
