Our client is looking for a Transport Administrator to join their friendly and professional transport team.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administration skills and a passion for keeping operations running efficiently. You'll play a key role in supporting transport activities, liaising with drivers, customers and planners, and ensuring everything is delivered on time and in full.

The Role

As a Transport Administrator, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring compliance, communication and accuracy across all activities.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Providing administrative support in line with transport legislation, company policies and procedures
  • Working closely with the Transport Management team
  • Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Supporting the daily transport plan and ensuring collections are completed on time
  • Completing and maintaining accurate transport documentation
  • Communicating delays, issues and operational updates to the planning team
  • Acting as a key point of contact for customer enquiries and schedule changes
  • Using Transport Management Systems to manage transport activities
  • Monitoring drivers' hours, tachographs and Working Time Directive compliance
  • Managing and controlling subcontractor requirements
  • Assisting with vehicle defect management and the Vehicle Off Road (VOR) process

  • Proactive team players who can also work independently and make decisions when needed
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • Experienced with Transport Management Systems (advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided)
