Employbridge is currently recruiting for a Litigation Counsel specializing in property, casualty and auto insurance to join their team. This position will be located in Anaheim CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and litigate complex property, casualty and auto insurance claims
• Provide expert legal representation and guidance throughout the litigation processes
• Oversee and manage litigation cases from inception through litigation
• Provide legal advice to internal teams in various departments throughout the company
• Evaluate, advise on settlement opportunities and risk exposure focusing on effective resolution of claims
• Collaborate with external legal counsel, managing performance, costs and tracking assigned cases
• Ensure compliance with relevant states and federal laws, regulations and internal policies
• Perform legal research, prepare legal proceedings, discoveries and motions
• Represent the company in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
• Maintain documentation of litigation files and records to ensure proper communication with key leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited university
• Active member of the California State Bar
• 2 plus years of experience in property, casualty, and auto insurance litigation
• Experience as an in-house counsel or within a law firm
• Ability to manage complex cases including strong litigation and trial skills
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Excellent presentation skills both written and verbal
• Hybrid role after probationary period
• In accordance with California law, the expected salary for this California position is $125,000-$155,000 per year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and education
