Research Associate II, Biology Research Operations, In Vivo

W2 Contract-to-Hire

Salary Range: $72,800 - $93,600 per year

Location: Redwood City, CA - Hybrid Role

Job Summary:

The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancer harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct, analyze, and report in vivo studies (efficacy, PK/PD).
  • Carry out pre-clinical model development and characterization.
  • Conduct standard vivarium operations.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, accurate and timely record-keeping, and data analysis.
  • Learn and conduct other in vivo-related techniques.
  • Interface with cross-functional project team members, and participate in and present at project and cross-departmental team meetings.
  • Formulate and administer drugs and experimental compounds by various routes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Biology or Pharmacology related discipline (3 - 5 years of experience).
  • Proficiency with various mouse handling techniques, including dosing (IV, PO, subcutaneous, IP), tumor inoculation/measurements, in-life and terminal blood collection, survival surgeries, and handling of tissues during necropsy and processing for ex vivo analysis.
  • Computer literacy, especially proficiency in GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • The ability to work independently on day-to-day responsibilities and research goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with in vivo imaging and Studylog
  • Research experience with mouse models of cancer and/or cancer immunotherapy
