Head of WHS

Head of WHS (90M0457057) Parramatta, Sydney, Australia

Salary: $30k Car Allowance

About The Role

As the Head of WHS, you will be responsible for the leadership of all WHS processes across Australia. Based in NSW, as the company expands, you will have a larger National focus. You will have the ability to manage multiple direct/indirect reports, and work with the Chief of People and Safety, implementing and driving WHS policies and procedures across a highly regulated business.

Duties

  • Facilitate and deliver specific WHS training across all facilities
  • Review and track all incident and injury investigations and follow-up further action when necessary
  • Identification of trends, improvement opportunities, and development of specific WHS innovations and plans to facilitate proactive safety performance and business improvement.
  • Ensure that communication is clear to business stakeholders, including but not limited to COO, CEO, CoPaS
  • Drive the development and continuous improvement of Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) Management System, ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation
  • Lead delivery of all internal WHS audits that drive continuous improvement programs.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of a reliable, user-friendly reporting system
  • Undertake regular planned site visits to operational sites to deliver training, complete site audits, and attend safety-related matters in a timely manner as a situation requires
  • Ensure staff are trained appropriately to enable a consistent and standardised approach to WHS driving transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

Skills and Experience

  • A relevant qualification in Workplace Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • Extensive WHS experience in oil, gas, mining, or any highly regulated industry
  • Minimum 8 years Leadership experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Great stakeholder management skills
