We are currently recruiting for a Band 3 General Secretary to provide essential secretarial and administrative support within a busy healthcare environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient services.
About the Role
As a General Secretary, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department. You will provide comprehensive administrative support, liaising with healthcare professionals, colleagues, patients, and members of the public while managing a variety of secretarial duties.
Key Responsibilities
? Word processing and audio typing correspondence, reports and documentation
? Managing diaries, appointments and meeting schedules
? Minute taking and preparing meeting documentation
? Handling telephone calls, emails and general enquiries
? Sorting, processing and maintaining confidential records and information
? Preparing reports and statistical information
? Filing, scanning, photocopying and general office administration
? Responding to queries and resolving routine issues using your own initiative
What We're Looking For

• Previous secretarial or administrative experience
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
• Professional, confidential and customer-focused approach
• Experience of minute taking and audio typing is desirable
