Administrative Officer (Court & Tribunal Support)
Location: Northampton, NN1 3HQ
Working Days / Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Office-based
Pay Rate: £12.86ph
Level of Clearance Required: Basic DBS
Length of Assignment: Until 31 March 2027

Our Client is hiring for a reputed client, supporting the effective operation of Courts and Tribunals-delivering a high standard of customer service, day in and day out.
What you'll be doing:
• Prepare papers, files, and court/tribunal documents for hearings, meetings and case progression
• Maintain accurate records on an in-house computer system and complete data input tasks
• Support day-to-day operations such as clerking hearings and ensuring materials are up to date
• Provide helpful counter, written and telephone enquiries handling, with “right first time” service
• Assist with listing and rota management, checking files, and supporting the scheduling of activities
• Collect, assemble and interpret information needed to run daily Team Information Board (TIB) meetings
• Draft standard letters, correspondence, minutes, notes, reports and submissions using guidelines
• Verify and check documents, records, accounts, claims and returns against required criteria and procedures
• Produce basic statistical analysis reports and carry out straightforward financial processing where needed
• Contribute to continuous improvement using Lean principles and problem-solving approaches within defined processes

• Strong administrative ability with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Clear customer service mindset-polite, prompt, and supportive with internal and external customers
• Ability to manage your own time and work effectively in a team, with regular management support
• Confidence handling routine enquiries and working to workload targets for throughput and accuracy
• Comfort using IT for data input and record-keeping to a required standard
• Willingness to be flexible, including occasional ad hoc work at other local offices when required
• Discretion and initiative to improve processes within systems and guidelines
