Service Engineer
c.£28K (plus allowances, O/T, Van, Uniform, Tools, Tablet)
West Midlands (all of the West of England and Wales as far as Swansea)
The Company
Leading UK provider of compactors, roll packers, food waste dryers and innovative recycling equipment to the private and public sector. Customers range from small hotels to facilities managers to national waste contractors, retailers, local government and the NHS.
Responsibilities:
- To complete installations of all machinery marketed and sold by the company.
- To provide engineering support for Preventative maintenance contracts, Reactive maintenance, Breakdown and Repair.
- To maintain technical skill set and up to date product knowledge in order to provide a first-class customer service offering.
- To mentor Apprentice Engineers
- To travel to customer sites and be prepared to stay away from home as required by the business with appropriate notice provided.
- To report to the office on any prospective sales lead/ requirement noted whist attending prearranged customer visits.
- To provide on-site training for end users on all machine types
Qualifications/Skills
- Minimum Maths and English GCSE
- NVQ 3 Engineering Maintenance
- HNC Engineering
- Welding qualification (Mig, Tig MMA) ,
- Electrical to Mechanical Cross over training.
- PLC programming knowledge advantageous.
- Clean driving licence.
