Gi group are proud to be working in partnership with a well-known food manufacturing company, who are one of the most well-known manufacturers in the UK, the company in question are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

Job Role:

As an Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be tasked for carrying out reactive, preventative, and proactive maintenance for all equipment on site. Maintaining a range of specialist machinery and equipment throughout our factory site including cyclical equipment

Typical Duties will involve:

• Ensures production priorities are understood in order that maintenance works are carried out enabling orders to be met.
• The accurate and timely completion of necessary documentation.
• Carries out preventative maintenance and servicing of machinery and equipment.
• Reacting to breakdowns quickly to reduce downtime.

Desirable experience

• A recognised time served apprenticeship.
• Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation.
• Experience of repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled environment
• Strong diagnostic, fault finding capability.
• Excellent attention for detail
• Must be experienced in a manufacturing environment, FMCG experience would be advantageous but not essential.
• The ability to read advanced electrical / mechanical drawings on new machinery.
