Safeguarding Officer – Enfield, North London

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Safeguarding Officer to support the safety and wellbeing of learners within a further education setting in Enfield.

This is an opportunity for a compassionate, proactive professional who can respond confidently to safeguarding concerns and provide practical support to young people.

Key responsibilities:

• Respond to safeguarding concerns and disclosures, following college procedures.

• Work alongside the designated safeguarding lead to assess concerns and coordinate support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential safeguarding records.

• Liaise with external agencies and make referrals where appropriate.

• Support learners experiencing welfare, wellbeing or personal difficulties.

• Help staff understand safeguarding procedures and reporting responsibilities.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience in safeguarding, student welfare or a related role.

• An understanding of safeguarding procedures within education.

• Experience supporting young people and vulnerable adults.

• Strong communication, record-keeping and organisational skills.

• A calm, sensitive approach to handling confidential information.
