About the R&D Manager – Food Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for leading research and development activities of product portfolios to in line with business needs and strategies. You will also be a focal point and act as project manager to lead R&D activities within regional innovation and renovation to enable transformation project implementations across local sites and provide guidance and share learning for regional site. The salary range for this role is competitive with provident fund and medical insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and develop product portfolios to meet consumer requirements in regional level and comply with corporate direction
- Provide technical knowledge and be functional expert in R&D and align product brief together with cross functional teams
- Develop a recipe to deliver target product quality based on the product design brief
- Ensure the products developed and produced are consistent to the quality and comply with standards and meet all critical success factors
- Lead technical project risks assessment with cross-functional team involvement
- Conduct product testing to ensure product performance and implement the product into production scale
- Check patent opportunities by consulting with IP representatives. When relevant, request an initial patent search from IP rep to ensure that any new ingredients/processes/recipe designs do not infringe other patents.
To succeed in the R&D Manager – Food job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with other teams, across borders and internal matrix.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field
- At least 10 years work experience in food factory, research and development background is preferable
- Understanding of raw material functionality and nutrition and product manufacturing process
- Consumer understanding and apply consumer insights into product design
- Logical thinking and apply technical rationales in trouble shooting and decision making
- Proven experience in conducting and delivering innovation projects including implementation activities
- Ability to use software and systems for recipe development and project management
- High level of proficiency in English and Thai (listening, reading, writing, speaking)
