HGV Class 2 Driver – Birtley – £17.52 per hour – Day Shift

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver / Category C Driver to work for our client, a leading food wholesaler and distributor based in Birtley.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Class 2 Driver looking for temporary driving work in Birtley. You will be making multi-drop deliveries of chilled and frozen food to a range of customers.

The Role:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

• Driving a Class 2 / Category C vehicle
• Multi-drop deliveries
• Delivering chilled and frozen food
• Deliveries to a variety of client locations
• Handballing and unloading products
• Heavy lifting as part of the delivery process
• Completing deliveries safely and efficiently

Pay Rate:

£17.52 per hour PAYE

Hours of Work:

• 07:00 start time
• 45-hour working week
• Temporary assignment
• Based from Birtley

DBS Check

As some deliveries are made to schools and prisons, successful applicants will be required to undertake a DBS check.

The cost of the DBS check will be paid by The Best Connection.
